User research: Survey
In order study users perception and user needs for AI supported virtual reality self-reflection application we made survey. We aimed this survey for our user target group. Our user target group is people around their thirties and working. One of surveys aim was also discover what self-refllection meant to participants and when, what for and how they practiced it. Our survey had open questions too in addition to regular yes/no questions. From these we made affinity diagram that you can see in pictures 1 and 2. Picture 2 is digital version of affinity diagram seen on the picture 1 made for easier reading experience.
From the surveys answers we were able to identify 5 aspects that we looked further in the affinity diagram. These aspects were Self-reflection, Triggers, spheres, skills and Self-reflection in VR/AR. We were able to identify lot of answers and tags that we associated with these aspects.
Next step would be interviews. In interviews our aim is to discover more information about self-reflections meaning, soft skills, Career, self-reflection areas and self-reflection in VR with AI. This information is needed to further understand user-needs and motives. This will help us to make functionality for our application
